Friedemann Hahn's artistic view of Vincent van Gogh

The Landesmuseum Mainz dedicates itself from November 19, 2026, to the artistic engagement of Friedemann Hahn with Vincent van Gogh. The exhibition “Work in Progress. Life for a Masterpiece – Friedemann Hahn views Vincent van Gogh” thus places two artistic perspectives in a shared context.

At the center is Friedemann Hahn's view of Vincent van Gogh. The exhibition examines how Hahn artistically engages with the Dutch painter and what significance van Gogh holds for this work. The title Work in Progress. Life for a Masterpiece refers to an ongoing artistic process and the creation of a masterpiece.
