Mainz 05 Passion with Fool's Cap: The Backyard Singers live at KUZ
When football meets the Mainz carnival spirit, an evening full of emotions, humor, and stadium atmosphere is created. The Backyard Singers bring their Mainz 05 podcast to the KUZ Cultural Center in Mainz on Thursday, December 17, 2026, and take fans on an entertaining journey through the highs and lows of the club.
Football Talk with a Genuine Fan Perspective
Felicitas Budde, Benedikt Engelberts, and Jan Budde founded the format as a podcast by fans for fans. For eight seasons, they have accompanied every matchday of 1. Expert Reinforcement on Stage
Since 2024, Florian Schlecht and Dominik Theis from the Allgemeine Zeitung have supported the team. This brings together fan passion, journalistic context, and current football analysis. The experiences surrounding Mainz 05 are at the center, exploring what makes a matchday so special for the supporters.
