Singing together, feeling Christmas: The Mainz Group Singing at Frankfurter Hof

On Tuesday, December 15, 2026, the Frankfurter Hof Mainz will transform into a large sound space for singers: During the 34th pre-Christmas Mainz Group Singing, the most beautiful Christmas songs from around the world will be performed for over two hours – accompanied by live music, moderated with humor and driven by the energy of the audience.

A musical evening full of memories

Current radio hits, rock classics, evergreens, oldies, and selected folk songs meet pre-Christmas group singing hits. The mix ranges from familiar melodies to great choruses that immediately stick in your memory. As soon as the first voices start, a special live atmosphere emerges: The hall sounds less like a concert audience and more like a shared musical community.

Live music and great singing moments

Jörg Siewert and Steffen Walter will accompany the group live throughout the evening. The song lyrics will be projected clearly onto a screen, so no one needs to memorize them. The musical concept combines a moderated concert, communal singing, and humorous stage performance. Every voice counts – the larger the group, the more intense the audience's mood.

Pre-Christmas concert atmosphere at Frankfurter Hof

The historic Frankfurter Hof in Mainz's old town provides the perfect setting for this special concert evening. Between rock classics, evergreens, and Christmas songs, a festive soundscape is created that invites singing, laughing, and reminiscing. The event starts at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM.

A successful cultural format for singing along

The GROUP SINGING format has existed since 2011. According to the organizers, it has already reached over 3,500 events in more than 120 cities and well over a million singers. In Mainz, the Siewert team ensures an energetic concert experience with live accompaniment, projection, and moderation.

The 34th pre-Christmas Mainz Group Singing combines well-known songs, Christmas spirit, and shared experiences. Those who visit the Frankfurter Hof on December 15, 2026, will not experience an evening of silent listening, but a lively sing-along concert full of warmth, humor, and great choruses.
