Plattenbau brings dark Post-Punk to Mainz

On November 10, 2026, the Berlin quartet Plattenbau transforms the Kulturclub schon schön into a space for intense soundscapes, angular rhythms, and dark wave atmosphere. The concert evening combines Post-Punk, Noise-Rock, and Dark Wave into a uncompromising live performance.

Between Concrete, Bass, and Paranoia

Plattenbau forms mechanically sounding drums, goth-like bass lines, mystical guitars, and wailing synthesizers into a sound that is both cold, hypnotic, and physical. Deep vocals meet precise synchronization and a stage performance between controlled tension and explosive energy.

Berlin Underground with International Lineup

The band was formed in 2011 from the rough atmosphere of East Berlin and developed its own aesthetics between No Wave, Noise Pop, and Post-Punk. Their music resembles a dark film soundtrack: repetitive grooves, cutting guitars, and electronic textures create a world where every beat sounds like concrete, night, and urban unrest.

Live Atmosphere at schon schön

In the Kulturclub schon schön, this sound unfolds its immediate impact. The audience does not expect a slick, polished mainstream concert, but a dense concert experience with powerful sound, dark lighting, and an audience energy that directly feeds from the rhythm. For fans of experimental Post-Punk, Noise-Rock, and Wave, the evening offers a distinctive journey through the Berlin underground scene.

Conclusion: An Evening for Intense Sound Worlds

Plattenbau live in Mainz promises a concert between hypnotic repetition, rugged guitar work, and dark stage aesthetics. Those who want to not only hear Post-Punk but also physically feel it will experience an evening at schon schön with independent sound and high live tension.
