Old Friends bring fresh a cappella sound to Mainz with More! - Live

On Friday, November 13, 2026, the Frankfurter Hof Mainz will transform into a resonance chamber for five voices, fine wordplay, and captivating stage energy. Old Friends present their fifth stage program More! - Live, combining new songs with popular tracks from their previous albums as well as selected classics from the Wise Guys era.

Five Voices, One Distinct Sound

Old Friends represent modern German a cappella music with precise synchronization, rhythmic finesse, and a stage performance that goes far beyond pure singing. Without classical instruments, a full sound emerges from voices, beatbox elements, multi-part orchestration, and pointed musical arrangements.

More Humor, More Groove, More Emotion

The program intentionally carries its title: More! stands for new songs, greater musical variety, and closer connection to the audience. The songs switch between winking observations of everyday life, contemplative moments, and danceable grooves. Charming moderation guides through a concert evening that combines lightness and depth.

From the Wise Guys to Their Own Paths

As a successor project of several former Wise Guys members, Old Friends have significantly shaped the German vocal pop scene. Since their founding in 2017, the group has developed into an independent band with their own albums such as We Are Here!, Life is Beautiful, Colorful Socks, Stable, and More!. The current album More! combines the characteristic mix of musical precision, humorous lyrics, and emotional directness.

Live Atmosphere at Frankfurter Hof

At Frankfurter Hof, the clear acoustics of the hall meet the immediate audience atmosphere of a club concert. Each voice has space, each groove feels direct, and between pointed lines of text, that special live atmosphere arises that makes a cappella concerts so intense. Mainz is expecting a concert experience filled with singing along, laughter, amazement, and quiet moments.
