Guitar Sounds at Noon: The Lunch Concert in Mainz
On November 11, 2026, the Mainz University of Music invites you to a musical lunch concert in the Red Hall. Students from the guitar classes of Prof. Hubert Käppel, Prof. Georg Schmitz, and Russell Poyner will showcase their skills in a focused concert format.
Virtuoso Strings, Clear Sound
The lunch concert combines the rhythm of campus life with an intense live atmosphere. The focus is on the classical guitar: an instrument that immediately reaches the space with finely graduated tonal colors, precise articulation, and a wide dynamic range.
Young Talents of the University of Music
On stage are students from three guitar classes at the Mainz University of Music. Their training combines technical proficiency, musical expression, and careful stage performance. The concert thus offers an immediate insight into the artistic work of the university.
