Joy Bogat brings Soul, Alternative RnB and Indie to life
On Thursday, December 10, 2026, Joy Bogat will transform the Mainz beben into a space for clear voices, grooving beats, and moving stories. The concert starts at 21:00, with doors opening at 20:00. The live music Thursday is presented by Musikmaschine as part of the concert format bebenLIVE.
Between radical softness and powerful stage presence
Joy Bogat seeks answers in her music to the question of what it means to be gentle, brave, responsible, Black, female, and a mother in today's world. Her stage performance combines personal self-location with an open, inviting sound language. The clear, extraordinary voice of the musician carries songs across Soul, Alternative RnB, and Indie.
Voices, textures, and grooving beats
In Bogat's arrangements, vocal pads, synthesizer textures, and spoken word intertwine with a precise groove. The orchestration remains airy and detailed, while the beats give the concert a danceable dynamic. Thus, a live sound emerges that feels simultaneously intimate, warm, and full of energy.
A musical journey with a personal touch
With her debut album Fabric of Dreams from 2024 and the EP What It Means To…, Joy Bogat has opened a new phase of her artistic development. Her music draws from her love of books, spoken word elements, and the process of making her own identity audible. Performances at the Berlin Philharmonic, TV Noir, the ZDF morning magazine, the Reeperbahn Festival, and Fusion underline her experience as a live artist.
bebenLIVE: modern live music in Mainz
The concert format bebenLIVE stands for modern live music on Thursdays at the Mainz club beben. Since autumn 2025, the concert agency Musikmaschine has curated a program there featuring current music, professional artist booking, and a direct club atmosphere. In Joy Bogat's case, these frameworks meet a stage performance characterized by emotional closeness, musical precision, and pulsating sound.
Conclusion: A concert experience with feeling and groove
Joy Bogat x bebenLIVE promises an evening that connects Soul, Alternative RnB, Indie, and Spoken Word into a distinctive experience. Those seeking an intense live atmosphere, strong voices, and danceable sound moments will encounter a night rich in personal depth and musical energy at beben Mainz. Tickets are available from 16.62 euros.
