Haiyan Jiang at the Concert Exam: Guitar Sound in the Red Hall
On Friday, December 11, 2026, Haiyan Jiang will showcase her skills in the Red Hall of the Hochschule für Musik Mainz as part of her concert exam. The concert begins at 7:30 PM and focuses on classical guitar in an academically challenging exam and concert format.
Virtuosity with Artistic Ambition
A concert exam marks the highest artistic degree at a music university. The focus is on musical maturity, stylistic confidence, and an independent stage performance. Haiyan Jiang comes from the guitar class of Prof. Hubert Käppel, whose training emphasizes precise technique, nuanced sound shaping, and intensive engagement with the repertoire.
The Red Hall as a Concentrated Concert Venue
The Red Hall of the Hochschule für Musik Mainz provides an immediate setting for solo music. Particularly in a guitar recital, subtle dynamic gradations, clear articulation, and nuanced timbres unfold directly. Between soft phrases, rhythmic synchronization, and virtuosic passages, a concentrated live atmosphere with great audience proximity is created.
Guitar Between Timbre and Precision
The concert experience thrives on the balance of technical control and musical tension. Attack, resonance, agogics, and line shaping form the sound of the classical guitar. Haiyan Jiang presents herself in an environment that demands the utmost attention for orchestration in small: every voice, every accent, and every change of timbre contributes to the evening's dramaturgy.
An Evening for Curious Music Lovers
The concert is aimed at all who wish to experience classical guitar in its solo depth and follow the artistic development path of a young musician. The concert exam combines exam character with public stage practice and makes the musical maturation process directly experienceable.
Conclusion: Visitors can expect a concentrated concert evening with Haiyan Jiang, classical guitar literature, and the special tension of a concert exam. Anyone wishing to experience the precision, expressiveness, and live atmosphere of a solo guitar recital should mark this date in the Red Hall.
