Christmassy campfire atmosphere in the Wild West
On December 12, 2026, the Kakadu Bar in Mainz transforms into a romanticized Wild West. Derrick Ballard and Alexander Spemann invite you to Christmas at the campfire – a special Christmas program featuring songs that evoke snowy plains, long cattle trails, and warm campfires.
John Denver as a musical starting point
In John Denver's Christmas for Cowboys, cowboys traverse snowy landscapes on Christmas Day. This image serves as the starting point for the evening. Ballard and Spemann capture the atmosphere of the song and combine it with other fitting Christmas and country sounds.
Voice and piano in an intimate bar setting
Derrick Ballard takes on vocals, while Alexander Spemann handles the piano part. The reduced lineup creates space for a direct stage performance, clear melodic lines, and a focused live atmosphere. Between country hints and festive moments, a concert evening with personal audience closeness emerges.
An evening for music lovers and Christmas fans
The Kakadu Bar provides the perfect setting for this concert experience. The bar opens at 7:00 PM, one hour before the show begins. There will be no bar service during the performance. The event starts at 8:00 PM at the restaurant Zum grünen Kakadu at Gutenbergplatz.
Conclusion: Christmas with cattle trail feeling
Christmas at the campfire promises a festive perspective shift during the Advent season: less Christmas market, more campfire; less holiday routine, more musical journey through the Wild West. Those who appreciate songs by John Denver and intimate live concerts will experience a special evening in Mainz with Derrick Ballard and Alexander Spemann.
