Alphaville live in Mainz: Synth-Pop night with great feelings
On June 15, 2027, the Mainz Citadel will transform into a stage for timeless pop history. Alphaville will bring their greatest songs and the characteristic synth-pop sound of their over 40-year band history to the open-air concert of Summer in the City.
When the Eighties Shine Again
With Big in Japan, Sounds Like a Melody, and Forever Young, Alphaville made international music history. The songs combine catchy melodies, electronic soundscapes, and an emotional drama that reaches generations. In the historical setting of the Mainz Citadel, precise synthesizer lines meet a grand live atmosphere in the open air.
A Sound Between Nostalgia and Presence
Alphaville stands for a unique blend of synth-pop, new wave, and anthemic pop. The stage performance lives from the synchronization of voice, electronic orchestration, and atmospheric lighting. Especially Forever Young possesses that rare concert effect, where the audience sings along from the very first beat and connects personal memories with the music.
Pop History at the Citadel
The Citadel is one of the most significant historical buildings in Mainz. Its fortress walls create a distinctive open-air ambiance, in which the clear synthesizer sounds and grand choruses unfold a special acoustic effect. The concert evening is part of the Summer in the City series, which has been bringing international artists to extraordinary locations in the Rhine-Main area for years.
Conclusion: An Evening for Those Who Want to Stay Forever Young
Alphaville live in Mainz promises an emotional concert experience with iconic melodies, electronic sound aesthetics, and a cross-generational audience atmosphere. Anyone wanting to experience the golden era of synth-pop up close should not miss this open-air concert at the Citadel.
