When Science Suddenly Stinks, Cracks, and Becomes Hilariously Funny

On Sunday, May 30, 2027, Konrad Stöckl transforms the KUZ Cultural Center Mainz into a rather unusual research laboratory. In his program When it Stinks and Cracks, it's Science, the science comedian combines astonishing experiments, peculiar facts, and fast-paced stand-up comedy into a laughter experience for the whole family.

Albert Einstein Hairstyle Meets Experimental Enthusiasm

Konrad Stöckl steps onto the stage not as a dry lecturer, but as a lively curiosity artist in a white lab coat. His trademark: a striking Einstein hairstyle, an energetic stage presence, and a humor that picks up on physical phenomena right where the audience is sitting – in the middle of everyday life and with mouths open in amazement.

Stand-up, Science, and Controlled Chaos

The show thrives on precise timing, visible joy of playing, and a significant portion of controlled chaos. Stöckl explains complex contexts in an entertaining way, combines comedy with tricks, and ensures that science does not sound like a school lesson, but rather like a stage crash. Between 'aha' moments, absurd experimental setups, and spontaneous interaction, there is hardly any time to recover from the last laugh.

Known from Television and Major Live Shows

The Mainz audience knows Konrad Stöckl among others from Luke! The School and Me on SAT.1, from Always Sundays on ARD, as well as from the 3sat Festival. His career has also led him through formats like NightWash, Quatsch Comedy Club, and Genial daneben. Awards such as the Comedy Hot Shot from ProSieben and special records from his stage career underline his reputation as an extraordinary entertainer.

A Comedy Show with Wonder Effect

Here, cabaret, science show, and experimental stage merge into a format where children, parents, and curious adults can equally find themselves. The audience's reaction is likely to oscillate between incredulous astonishment, loud laughter, and the spontaneous desire to experience the next experiment up close.

Conclusion: Those who prefer to experience science with tears of laughter rather than with formula collections will find the perfect afternoon with Konrad Stöckl. The KUZ Mainz offers the perfect backdrop for a show full of punchlines, surprising effects, and a comedy atmosphere. This laughter experience works best live – where it actually stinks, cracks, and the audience laughs together.
